In addition to our public talks we also undertake a range of community driven initiatives: The John Adams Book Club; The Young Minds Network; our high school lecture program, The Quincy Club; and occassionally, courses. These projects help strengthen our community and diversify our portfolio of activities.
The Quincy Club is the educational branch of the John Adams Institute, connecting high school students with our community for over 20 years. Each year, Quincy Club lecturers visit high schools across the Netherlands to present a topic pertinent to the better understanding of the political and multicultural landscape that is the United States. Our goal is to assist Dutch youth in the exploration and analysis of American affairs and culture in a non-partisan and engaging fashion.
The Young Minds Outreach program brings together tomorrow’s thought leaders to connect them to one another. Are you interested in the United States, big ideas, or simply keen to meet like-minded people? Then the Young Minds network is the perfect fit for you, and there are a variety of ways to get involved.
The John Adams Institute provides an independent podium for American culture in the Netherlands. For three decades, we have brought the best and the brightest of American thinking from the fields of literature, politics, history, and technology. Love it or hate it, what happens in the United States is of continuing relevance for the rest of the world. We host a number of public events with the goal of examining cultural phenomena related to the United States, be that of national or international concern.
