Son Lux is an American pop artist currently storming the international scene with his eponymous trio. His distinctive arrangements and avant-pop songs betray his solid classical background. His music is rooted in folk and American avant-garde, notably Charles Ives, one of the founders of American experimental music, as one of his inspirations. This concert themed ‘pop-art’ will see Son Lux performing pieces together with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Soprano Claron McFadden will join them to sing a track by Son Lux and some other songs. Expect orchestral repertoire as well as new work by Son Lux offering a musical glimpse into the future.
