George Gershwin’s groundbreaking folk opera “Porgy & Bess” is currently playing at the Amsterdan RAI theater. With an entirely American cast and featuring star soloists from the New York Metropolitan Opera, the production tells the story of love in the black tenements of 1930’s Charleston, featuring classic hits like “I Got Plenty of Nothing,” “It ain’t Necessarily So,” and “Summertime.”
