The John Adams Institute welcomed internationally acclaimed novelist and Booker Prize winner Ben Okri, who spoke about Infinite Riches, the third book in the Spirit Child Azaro trilogy, following The Famished Road and Songs of Enchantment. Okri rewrites Africa’s history from an African perspective, showing the complexity of the colonial heritage. But most of all, Okri shows himself to be an extraordinary story teller of enormous creativity. Infinite Riches is a book full of anger and compassion, at once turbulent and tender. Okri was born in Minna, Nigeria and went to the University of Essex in England, where he studied Comparative Literature.
